FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Most sessions take place at my home photography studio in Brighton Le Sands, Sydney. I also do outdoor and location sessions. Based on the look you are after I’ll send through a list of recommended locations for you to choose from. And, if you already have a particular location in mind, reach out to me and we can work out the suitability of your desired location.

  • If the weather conditions don’t allow for the shoot to take place, I can either reschedule to a new date or we can just move the entire photoshoot to my studio.

  • If this is the case, then I am the perfect person to help with that. My job is to do everything I can (and I’ve

    got some tips and tricks up my sleeve) so that you enjoy the experience of a professional photoshoot. A professional session is nothing like someone taking a photo of you. Because we have time to set up and try different angles and poses, the process of taking a photo becomes less daunting for many people.

    And while I stick to set session times, I also have enough time to make you relax and take the tension out of your posture. The more photos I take, the more natural your movements and poses become. So, no need to worry.

  • At Sara Photography, I specialise in light-filled, simplistic, pure portraiture. I photograph maternity, newborns, babies, toddlers, kids, teenagers, families (including pets) and couples.

  • My studio is located in Brighton Le Sands, in Sydney’s south. However, I do location shoots across Sydney suburbs. Please reach out to enquire if this covers your area.

  • If you, your child or anyone who is scheduled to attend the photoshoot is sick, I am more than happy to reschedule your session without you losing your booking fee. I will do my very best to fit you into the next available session.

  • Yes! Gift vouchers are available for any of our sessions and up to any amount. They are valid for 12 months. What better gift than the photograph they will cherish forever? To purchase a Sara Photography gift voucher, please get in touch.

  • I know the anticipation that takes place when waiting to see your beautiful photographs, so I do my best to get them to you as quickly as possible. The waiting period for your digital prints is normally 3-4 weeks.

  • I keep your photos for 12 months on my files. If you would like to purchase additional prints after your initial package purchase, more images can be supplied at a fee. Please get in touch to enquire about the costs involved for additional images.

  • Unfortunately, the $150 booking fee is non-refundable for change of mind. As a small business, the booking fee taken to secure your session time covers the minimum costs incurred due to cancellations and lost sessions. However, I am more than happy to transfer your booking fee to another session of your choice. If you have booked a newborn session and changed your mind, you may want to consider a family or couples session instead.

  • The quality of the printed images is just as important as the actual shot. And, that is why I strongly encourage my clients to order their prints through Sara Photography. Please reach out to me for pricing to order your prints. Unfortunately, many labs produce below-average prints, which can really impact the quality and look of your professional photos.

  • I do! Sara Photography holds several themed mini sessions throughout the year at my home studio in Brighton Le Sands. These include; Mummy and Me (Mother’s Day), Easter (April/May), Santa (November) and Milk Bath sessions. These sessions are offered to current clients first, and any remaining spots are then opened to the public. Please register for our mailing list to receive emails announcing registrations for these mini-sessions and other promotional offers.

  • I am honoured that you have chosen Sara Photography for your professional photoshoot and I am here to help make sure it is a truly enjoyable experience for you and your family. When it comes to themes, I have a collection of props and backgrounds to choose from which we can discuss once you book your session. If you have a particular theme, you would like or image you would like me to follow, I will do my best to take your ideas and recreate them into your very own, loving photographic memories.
